A journey through five centuries of wine history
Built from the remains of an old teacher’s house, the Wine Museum of La Palma takes visitors on a trip through the history of wine making in La Palma from the 16th Century to the present day. The museum, located in Los Llanos de Aridane, includes an exhibition of the agricultural tools used in the past and texts and documents on crop growth, grape varieties and the stages of production from vine to glass.
Sample and purchase wines produced in La Palma
La Palma’s Wine Museum has a small farm with an old winery, a tank where rain water was collected for domestic use and some of the best strains of wine in the islands. It is also possible to taste and purchase local wines. The museum is open from Monday to Friday.
