MTB in the southwest of Gran Canaria

Bike along the hills of Inagua

A terrain with steep paths which alternate with stretches of road and tracks are those which define this uphill route which leads to the wonderful hills of Inagua in the west of Gran Canaria. This comprehensive natural reserve is home to one of the best preserved pine trees on the island which means there are stages where the bike will have to be carried so take this into account when thinking about facing this 70 kilometre route with an accumulated incline of 1,770 metres.

Getting to the end of the route in Meloneras

After leaving the protected area of Inagua and its pine forests, there is a long descent leading to the dams which are scattered out along the impressive interior valleys of Gran Canaria, like those at Chira and Soria. Here roads alternate with the steep terrain of the deep ravines which appear along the way to the coast of Arguineguín in Mogán. On this final stretch, this road cycle allows riders to appreciate the landscape before getting to the beach at Meloneras at the end of the route.
