A reptile show in Lajita

Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura boasts the only interactive show with snakes and crocodiles in the Canary Islands, where members of the public are able to pet reptiles and amphibians. But it is not the only show that the park offers: there is also a lovely parrot show, a spectacular bird of prey demonstration and a hugely entertaining sea lion show. Buy bags of food to feed the park’s many animals and enjoy a different way to spend a day in La Lajita, in the south of Fuerteventura.

The only zoo in Fuerteventura

Besides being the only zoo and botanical park of the island, Oasis Wildlife is the only zoo in the Canary Islands that has hippos and African elephants. And it’s also one of the very few where you can play with lemurs! You can also see the wild animals up close in a special camel route that goes from the top of a mountain into the park. However, tickets for the Camel Safari tend to sell out quick, so visitors are advised to buy tickets on arrival.
