Veranos de Taoro presents "Carnations," a play starring Silvia Marsó and Abel Folk at the Espacio Laurel de Indias in Puerto de la Cruz. The story is set in April 1974, during the Carnation Revolution, when three Spanish students, Violeta, Javier, and Ramón, travel to Lisbon to witness the rise of democracy. Fifty years later, Javier visits Violeta, who is grappling with the recent loss of Ramón. Their reunion is tense, filled with resentments and secrets after four decades apart. As the past unfolds, betrayals, loves, and lost aspirations emerge, intertwining the personal with the political. "Claveles" is a journey that invites reflection on memory and shared hope amidst estrangements.
