Institutional wrestling match

As part of the Festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, the institutional wrestling match is held. This event consists of a Canarian wrestling match where two friendly teams made up of wrestlers from the islands face off in an improvised sand arena in the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias. Before the main event, there are exhibitions of native sports, a wrestling match for lower categories between teams from the north and south of Tenerife, and, in recent editions, a women's wrestling match.
