3 to 5 November
The Teatro Guimerá presents El castillo de Lindabridis, a highly crafted chivalric comedy that combines elaborate poetic language, music, dance, costumes, and fantastical beings. Adapted by Calderón de la Barca, this work brings chivalric themes into a Baroque theatrical context, creating a courtly play with a carnival atmosphere where the Baroque is reflected through a Medieval era idealized by the Renaissance. In the 21st century, Nao d’amores and the National Classical Theater Company, guided by Calderón as a bridge between eras, add a contemporary layer to this production. El castillo de Lindabridis is a coproduction that explores the intersection of times and styles, offering a theatrical experience rich in history and creativity.
