Cross Day

On the Day of the Cross, dozens of crosses are decorated with flowers and fruits and placed on the city's promenades for everyone to enjoy. Each neighborhood also creates or decorates its own crosses, an event that coincides with the anniversary of the city's founding. In the northern part of the island, in the municipality of Los Realejos, the Day of the Cross is celebrated with a spectacular fireworks display, considered one of the most outstanding in Europe and declared of National Tourist Interest.
