Señoras de ciudad

The Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz presents "Señoras de Ciudad", a play based on the chronicles published by Alonso Quesada between 1907 and 1924, paying tribute to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and its people. Through the characters of Lolina, Pinito, and Antoñita, three middle-class, pretentious, and gossiping women, the play humorously reflects the idiosyncrasies and customs of the islanders of that time. Directed and written by Fabián Lomio, the production uses words, music, and irony to faithfully and entertainingly portray the society of Las Palmas.
