8 to 9 March
Power Nap arrives at the Cactus Garden and the Auditorium of Jameos del Agua as a stage production inspired by "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun," to be performed in Lanzarote. The piece focuses on the figure of Artemis, a goddess defined by her independence and detachment from romantic love. During a revitalizing nap, Artemis experiences a dream that reveals an unexpected longing for romantic connection, drawing her closer to archetypes like Hera or Aphrodite. Through sensuality, strength, and vulnerability, the performance explores the feminine transition into maturity and the duality between the instinct for independence and the search for home, demonstrating how these seemingly opposing aspects can complement each other through self-understanding.
