Juan Mayorga: The Collection

"La colección" is a play written and directed by Juan Mayorga, set to be performed at the Teatro Víctor Fernández Gopar "El Salinero" in Lanzarote. The story follows Héctor and Berna, a childless couple who have dedicated their lives to building a valuable collection. Now, in their old age, they seek an heir to ensure the continuity of their legacy. To this end, they invite Susana, also a collector, possibly to evaluate her, and Carlos, whose role remains ambiguous. The play delves into themes such as marriage, the passage of time, and the complex relationship between people and objects. The cast is led by José Sacristán as Héctor and Ana Marzoa as Berna, supported by Ignacio Jiménez and Zaira Montes.
