Temporary exhibition: Tobacco in La Palma

The exhibition "Tobacco in La Palma, an island among chinchales" is an initiative by the Department of Culture and Historical Heritage to recover and highlight the ethnographic collections of the island council, taking place at the Casino of Santa Cruz de La Palma. In collaboration with Sociedad La Investigadora, one of the oldest sociocultural institutions on the island, the exhibition is installed in an emblematic building within the historical-artistic complex of the capital of La Palma. The exhibition hall, called "Urcéolo, a showcase of traditional industries," will feature an exhibition dedicated to the culture of tobacco, a sector of great influence in Palmeran culture and an integral part of its historical identity.
