Romería de la Cruz del Palo Podrido

The Romería de la Cruz del Palo Podrido (a traditional Pilgrim) is one of the main events of the festivities in the neighborhood of Montes de Luna, in Villa de Mazo (La Palma). Since its revival in 2023, this romería has become a strong expression of local identity, blending devotion, folk music, and tradition. Decorated carts, traditional music groups, and residents dressed in typical Canarian attire accompany the procession in honor of the Cross, creating a festive atmosphere that strengthens the community spirit and cultural roots of the area. It is a celebration of heritage and the joyful spirit of the people of La Palma.
