Winter Performance: Canto Cruzado

Winter Performance: Canto Cruzado is the latest creation by Memvus Arte, inspired by mestizaje, the essence of universal culture. In this sixth edition, 80 artists of all ages perform a fusion of European, African, and American music, accompanied by the poetry of Borges, Whitman, and Rilke. Under the direction of Yanira Sánchez and with arrangements by Vicente Umpiérrez and David Campodarve, the show offers a unique blend of boleros, zambas, carols, Spanish folk songs, Canarian melodies, and Venezuelan aguinaldos, as well as songs by The Beatles, Billy Joel, and Bob Dylan, creating a rich and captivating musical experience.
