Temporary Exhibition: Juan de Miranda lo Pintó

The exhibition "Juan de Miranda lo Pintó" is part of the celebrations marking the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding artist Juan Ventura de Miranda Sejas y Guerra (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1723 - Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1805). As a leading figure in Canarian art of the Modern period, Miranda fused the rich Baroque legacy with an innovative effort, thus revitalising painting in the islands and connecting with the Spanish art of his time. The exhibition, curated by Margarita Rodríguez González, presents more than 70 works on loan from collectors and institutions.
