Sugar Oil Iron Skulls

Through urban and contemporary dances, this piece reflects on how belonging to the group affects our individuality. Through a language that transits between urban and contemporary dances, this montage raises questions that have belonged to human nature throughout its existence: How much of our individuality are we willing to sacrifice to maintain our membership in a group? Iron Skulls Co is a Barcelona dance collective known for its quirky style and continuous research into the limits of movement. A reference of the urban dance of the city that transits towards contemporary styles (and vice versa). Members of the company come from diverse backgrounds, including breaking, hip hop, contemporary dance and acrobatics, including influences from other disciplines such as martial arts, music production, design and fashion.
