Polígono

Teatro Víctor Jara presents "Polígono", a documentary theater production by La Escrig Producciones that explores the impact of tourism and urban development speculation on the most vulnerable communities. The play is based on real testimonies from residents of Jinámar, the first inhabitants of housing provided by the Government of the Canary Islands in the 1980s, and key figures in a neighborhood movement that brought significant improvements to the area. The story follows Marga, a young woman who occupies a home in the neighborhood, where she encounters Carpenter, a former member of the Mercury mission who refuses to leave the Canary Islands after the closure of the Maspalomas base.
