Masdanza

MASDANZA, the International Contemporary Dance Festival of the Canary Islands, is held on various islands of the archipelago and was awarded the EFFE Quality Label by the European Festivals Association in January 2019. It has also been nominated for the Best European Dance Festival Award. The festival's main goal is to promote contemporary dance in the Canary Islands and serve as a platform for local, national, and international creators. Contributing to the cultural legacy of the region, MASDANZA brings dance to diverse audiences through a variety of events and projects that encourage the participation of different groups. The festival views contemporary dance as a tool for achieving social goals such as participation, inclusion, integration, tolerance, and diversity, enriching community life through encounters, discoveries, and exchanges.
