The Federico García Lorca Cultural Center presents Mama África, an intercultural group that celebrates African influence, specifically from the Mandinga ethnicity. Under the direction of its composer and singer, Naby Zana Cámara, who hails from Guinea Conakry, the band brings melodies and sounds that allow attendees to embark on a sonic journey across the African continent. The diversity of the members adds Canary and Latin American touches to their music, creating a unique musical blend. With a notable background in Africa, Mama África has participated in numerous festivals and traditional events throughout the country, highlighting their presence at the “Djembé D'Or” Festival on three occasions and at the Franco-Guinean Cultural Center.
