Artenara Trail

The Artenara Trail, one of the most iconic mountain races in the Canary Islands, celebrates its sixteenth edition. With both the start and finish located at San Matías Square, in the heart of the highest municipality in Gran Canaria, the race offers three routes adapted to different levels: the 6 km AT Tirma, ideal for beginners in trail running; the 10 km AT Acusa, which passes through the Cuevas del Caballero; and the 20 km AT Artenara, which runs through the Tamadaba pine forest, skirts the Lugarejos reservoir, and ascends to Pinos de Gáldar before returning to the town center. Participants will enjoy breathtaking landscapes, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Risco Caído and the Sacred Mountains, the Tejeda Caldera, and the Tamadaba Natural Park.
