Alonso Quesada Centenary

The Cabildo of Gran Canaria is commemorating the centenary of Alonso Quesada’s death with an extensive cultural program running from February to December. The initiative features exhibitions, theatrical performances, rap workshops, talks, film screenings, and the publication of facsimile editions and translations of his works. Additionally, the Alonso Quesada Theatre Prize has been established as a lasting tribute. Activities will take place in iconic venues such as the Insular Library, the Cuyás Theatre, and the Tomás Morales House-Museum, aiming to honour his legacy and promote reading, writing, and critical thinking.
