The Miguel de Unamuno House Museum presents "The last travel of Unamuno" a play that explores the famous writer's desire to return to Fuerteventura after his exile in 1924. In the winter of 1936, while facing fascist repression in his home in Salamanca, Unamuno was unable to fulfill his longing. The narrative invites the audience to imagine a reunion of the author with the landscape and people he cherished, where he would relive memories, reflections, and emotions that left a profound mark on his spirit. The play's dramaturgy is by Miguel Ángel Martínez, with direction and staging by Josetxu Portillo, promising an emotional journey that connects memory with universal literature.
