At the north end of Las Canteras beach close to La Puntilla, Playa Grande has a mixed bottom with sand, sandstone reefs and small seagrass beds. Close to the shore are large rocks in shallow water perfect for the kids with seaweed, winkles and small cuttlefish.Within the natural reef you see large and colourful parrotfish and schools of iridescent porgies. Outside the reef the intrepid find jacks, barracudas and even turtles.
