Diving on a continental shelf suitable for all levels
In the south of Fuerteventura, in front of the Jandia lighthouse, a spectacular enclave known as the Veril Grande can be found that is perfect for divers of all levels. At a depth of 20 metres, the top of the wall drops vertically to about 40 metres and hidden species like bream, black eels, stingrays and angel sharks emerge. Just before reaching the shelf, garden eels can also be seen. Occasionally, large deep-sea fish like whale sharks and giant devil rays have been sighted.
Swim among a multitude of marine species
Access to the dive spot is a 200-metre boat ride away from the beach. Depending on the level and experience of the divers, different types of dives are available. The wall itself can be explored or the caves that are found within it. The clarity of the water and white sand makes the Veril Grande an incredible spot in which to enjoy a single dive surrounded by a multitude of underwater species.
