Spectacular saltwater pools in the capital of Tenerife
The Parque Marítimo, designed by César Manrique, is located on the south coast of Tenerife's capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with fabulous views of the Auditorium designed by Santiago Calatrava, the Palm Gardens and the sea. Easily accessible by car and public transport, there is ample parking. Its facilities include three seawater pools, restaurants, terraces, changing rooms with hot water and sunbathing areas.
César Manrique’s unmistakable design
The posthumous work of the famous Lanzarote artist César Manrique, the Parque Marítimo in Santa Cruz de Tenerife was opened in 1995. His design used natural elements such as volcanic rocks, palm trees and ornamental plants alongside saltwater waterfalls, all decorated with Manrique's famous “Wind Toy” sculptures. The park is open every day of the year and is popular with local visitors during weekends and holidays. Unbeatable for a day of family fun and relaxation.
